They have informed us that they are actively seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional to provide grief counseling services. Job Description: Seeking a Licensed Mental Health professional to provide outpatient grief counseling

Provide individual therapy to children and/or adults who are grieving the death of someone significant to them.

Complete all administrative forms and clinical notes for each session conducted.

Attend once a month clinical meeting for peer supervision with other members of the clinical team.
Hours: Based on caseload (hours are flexible but typical is 12-15 hours/week) with daytime and/or evening hours (3-8 PM) in person and/or through telehealth.
Work Experience Requirements: A minimum of three years of experience working with children, adults, and/or families in a mental health setting. Necessary qualifications include extensive knowledge of the grief process (including anticipatory grief and traumatic grief), experience conducting psychological evaluations with children, adults, or families, and keeping comprehensive clinical notes. Must have strong clinical skills, exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, possess effective communication and organizational skills, and be a genuine team-player.
Education Requirements: Must hold a current license in a mental health field (i.e. LCSW, LPC). Strong preference to those with experience with insurance credentialing.

Greater Richmond SCAN
The Trauma Informed Education Assistant will support SCAN’s work in Richmond Public Schools by working with RPS teachers, school-based staff and Division-level staff and providing technical support to manage the impact of toxic stress in the educational environment and improve the culture and climate of RPS, and the wellbeing of students and staff.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in mental health field (Social Work, Counseling, Psychology…) strongly preferred. Course work in Human Services required. Experience may be considered in lieu of conferred degree.
Responsibilities (25 hours per week) :

Work with SCAN Trauma Informed Education team by supporting SCAN’s professional development, wellness events, consultation, coaching and support that is provided to schools in order to enhance trauma-informed and resiliency-building practices and build internal capacity of RPS employees;

Introduce, coach and model Tier One or Universal Supports for RPS school staff aimed at decreasing vicarious trauma, burn-out and compassion fatigue;

Provide support to RPS schools that have been directly impacted by a crisis or loss, by assisting with creating a wellness space for all staff members affected;

Attend meetings regarding school culture and climate, student behavior, such as Response to Intervention (RTI) team meetings, Trauma Informed Leadership Team (TILT) and other relevant meetings in order to increase impact and advocate for best practices, policies and procedures;

Provide content and resources for SCAN’s bi-monthly e-newsletter;

Track activities, outcomes and program evaluation related to professional development, coaching and consultative services;

Other duties as needed
Qualifications and Skills:

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Experience working in Title I schools

Minimum two or more years providing direct support to students and with culturally diverse populations

Knowledge of trauma informed practice and adverse childhood experiences, specific to school-based and/or community settings

Understands and respects the diversity of families’ economic, linguistic and cultural backgrounds and situations

Experience with developing collaborative partnerships and building relationships with constituents in the community

Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Self-motivated leader who can work independently as well as part of team

Ability to work flexible hours including some nights and weekends
